EF is a global company. In fact, our reach spans 114 countries—and not in the “I had a layover there once” kind of way. But while we’re proud of our international community, we put just as much of an emphasis on our local ones—meaning the EF Educational Tour Consultants, Group Leaders, and Global Education Ambassadors that are specifically focused on helping students travel in your area.

In other words, no matter where you are in the world, your EF community is right there with and for you.

Meet your local crew

We’ve been leading the charge in educational travel for over 55 years—and throughout that time, we’ve worked with educators in nearly every community. Most likely, you know someone (or have a friend of a friend) who has traveled with us—so why not lean on them to give you the inside scoop?

We also have experienced Group Leaders, known as Global Education Ambassadors, in every single state. They’re there to give you teacher-to-teacher tips and guidance on everything related to your tour. You can chat with them over phone or email, or schedule time to meet in person.

Ryan, an EF Global Education Ambassador in West Virginia, likes getting coffee with new Group Leaders. “It’s helpful to have a face-to-face conversation,” he says. He explains that he’s happy to answer any and all questions, and will walk new Group Leaders through everything from EF’s training tours to ways to sign up more students.

“It’s nice for Group Leaders to get the chance to talk with someone like me, because I’m in the same boat as them,” Ryan says. “I’ve done the same thing and gone through the same process. I try to be an open book and give them any insight or tips I might have.”

Finally, you’ll also get one-on-one support from your own personal Tour Consultant. You’ll be paired with someone who only works with educators from your community and has a deep understanding of your school district’s needs.

You’ve got friends in all the places

Between your Tour Consultant and your Global Education Ambassador, you’ve got plenty of support right in your own backyard. But like we said above, we’ve got you covered no matter where you are in the world. That’s because we have EF staff on the ground 365 days a year in over 50 countries.

Our unmatched presence means you get unparalleled expertise and peace of mind. For example, if you discover a visa issue when you touch down in Tokyo, we have local staff ready to help just a short train ride away. Or, if your tour bus starts overheating while going through the Greek mountains (as happened to Ryan) we have the resources to fix your ride and get you back on the road in no time.

When we say the EF community is everywhere, we mean it.

From our Global Education Ambassadors living and working right near you, to our team of on-the-ground Tour Directors, to our staff members located all over the globe, you’ll be able to lean on your EF people no matter where you are in the world.
