The mind-expanding moments students experience at an EF Global Leadership Summit are tough to put into words. That’s why we bottled up some of the magic from July 2022 and are sharing it in our student Summit video recap above.
This summer, future leaders from all over the world came together in Berlin, Germany to learn about The Impact of Sports & Wellness. By completing design thinking challenges, participating in interactive partner workshops, and hearing from motivational thought leaders, students returned home ready to make a change both out in the world and within their communities.
Four incredible thought leaders in the health and wellness space spoke to students about how they turned their passions into careers and setbacks into motivators—like Blake Leeper, a Paralympic Gold medalist and world record-holder who was born without legs.
At the weekend’s Student Empowerment Panel, Alana Andrews (founder of SWEY TO PLAY and the So Positive Initiative) and Kritika Singh (founder of Malaria Free World and a current Rhodes Scholar) discussed the importance of young voices and minds in shaping our future.
Students embarked on a weekend-long journey of ideating, testing, and prototyping solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems. And after finalists pitched their ideas to a panel of judges, everyone danced it out at Sunday night’s silent disco.
At the end of the weekend, Team Nutri-Cart was crowned the winning protype out of the ten highest-scoring finalists 🥳 And while their biggest takeaways from working together included celebrating each team member’s different leadership style while finding the unique spark in themselves, there was an extra-sweet cherry on top. Their prototype will be featured in the Nobel Prize Museum (alongside past Global Leadership Summit winners and the work of Nobel Laureates) in Stockholm, Sweden!
Give your students the opportunity to gain more confidence and cultural awareness through a specially designed tour and collaborative leadership conference.
