Free Time Suggestions: Boston

There are so many reasons to love Boston (full disclosure: our North American Headquarters are located here, so we may be a little biased) that it would be impossible to fit everything into one of our tours. We did our best to include all of the major highlights, but like with any tour, there is always more to see! Luckily most of our Boston tours have some free time built in so we’ve put together a list of destinations for you to explore with your group at your leisure.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
If you are a fan of art, don’t miss the chance to visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Home to various collections of paintings, sculptures, tapestries and decorative arts from around the globe, the museum was founded by a well-known collector and patron of art, Isabella Stewart.
#insiderfact: The museum entrance is free to anyone named Isabella.

The Mapparium at the Mary Baker Eddy Library
Enter inside this three-story tall glass globe and view the earth as it was in 1935.
#insiderfact: Because of the almost spherical share of the Mapparium, those at one side of the bridge can hear loud and clear the whispers of someone on the opposite end!

Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway

Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway
Take a break from your walking tour and have a quick lunch on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway! The linear park passes through Chinatown, Financial District, Boston Waterfront and the North End, which makes it the perfect path to get to know a little bit of the many different neighborhoods in Boston.
#insiderfact:The Greenway is named after Rose F Kennedy, who was born in the North End neighborhood!
