2016 Global Citizen
Being a Global Citizen involves more than just being superficially aware of the world. A true Global Citizen is someone who actively seeks out experiences that push their mental boundaries, furthering their pursuit of greater knowledge and truth. The journey I took with my fellow Global Citizens epitomized this. With each group member’s diverse and unique background, discussions were never one-sided. I found myself frequently reevaluating my opinions and beliefs, directly leading to a level of personal growth I never had the opportunity to experience inside a classroom. I had to acknowledge the fundamental limitations of my understanding of the world, which ultimately led to a renewal of my passion for exploration and learning.
