We’re honored to partner with incredible teachers like you to create educational tours that open your students’ minds and broaden their horizons. And, while these travel experiences are truly life-changing, we know they’re only one of the many ways you give your students the world. If you ask us, you and your coworkers deserve a year’s worth of celebration—but we’ll take Teacher Appreciation Week as a starting point.
So, how are we calling attention to this special week? We’re lighting the Empire State Building in EF’s signature pink. Teachers, we hope you get a chance to see it (either in person or on Facebook) and that you feel proud knowing that that bright light is shining for you and all of your brilliant work.
And speaking of that work, we want to help lighten the load. That’s why we’re giving you free lesson plans from some of the country’s top educators. Feel free to use them as-is, tweak them to fit your particular needs, or simply gain inspiration from them. We know you have a million lesson plans of your own, but hope you find these helpful when looking for new ideas.
Last but certainly not least, we’re looking for nominations for amazing teachers. Tell us about an inspiring educator—whether it’s a coworker or a mentor of your own—and they’ll be entered to win one of two $100 Visa gift cards. Just submit their name by Friday, May 12.
Teachers, thank you for all that you do! During Teacher Appreciation Week (and every week), we hope you get the respect, recognition, and bounty of delicious apples you deserve.
